’31 Days’: Happy Bastille Day!

Day 14:  Do something big to celebrate Bastille Day.

A few days ago our family learned about two families recently displaced by war and very specific threats against their safety.  They’ve been relocated to our community.

Days before, we’d been brainstorming about what to do to celebrate France’s Independence Day.  When we heard about them, we knew we needed to help and came up with this idea:

We’ve been busy making the most delicious (also most persnickety) cookie in honor of the day.

And once we made a good chunk of change to donate to our cause, we shared the rest…

To everyone who stopped by, THANK YOU!  Your generosity will be put to good use.

About T.D.

Hi there! Thanks for stopping by my corner of the blogosphere. I hope you like it here. This blog is where I ramble about the hats I wear (wife, mother, author, educator, etc) and everything in between. A wise man once said 'Happiness is a habit; cultivate it'. Here on this blog, I intend to do just that.
