Days 9&11

Day 9:  Find a local dessert shop.  Eat dessert for dinner.

When I was a little girl, anytime we would come to Utah and visit my great-grandmother, she would always have See’s chocolates in her refrigerator.  Sometimes, she would even let us have one.  Those chocolates became everything I equate with Utah.  Sometimes, I would see a kiosk store pop up in Neverland or Oregon during Christmas time but they were never there permanently like they are here.

So, we were edgy tonight.  I took Ms. Bee and LuLu to See’s for a treat at dinnertime…

What can I say?  We like to live on the wild side.  For dessert, we had loaded baked potatoes.

By the way, Mr. and Mrs. Bee, we picked you up a little something too…DSC04655

Day 10: Trade your phone for a camera.  Turn off the TV, unplug and do something completely spontaneous.

Throwing caution to the wind was a common theme today.  First, Florence and I took Ms. Bee to my favorite Sushi place…which can be nerve wracking considering we’re landlocked here.

One thing that impresses me about Ms. Bee is she is pretty adventurous and up for just about anything.

Afterward, LuLu finally took the plunge…more like ‘pierce’.  She’s been talking about it for months!

Today was a good day!

About T.D.

Hi there! Thanks for stopping by my corner of the blogosphere. I hope you like it here. This blog is where I ramble about the hats I wear (wife, mother, author, educator, etc) and everything in between. A wise man once said 'Happiness is a habit; cultivate it'. Here on this blog, I intend to do just that.
