I’m a bit behind. BUT first! They’re back!
I’m so proud of these girls for doing hard things! I’m touched by their determination to be happy through it too.
In an effort to catch up with our ’31 Days’ bucket list, I’m catching us up a bit at a time…
Day 7: Take ten pictures of things you love about where you live…
Fresh Basil from my herb garden
And lettuce and tomatoes
Torching Creme Brûlée with local French friends
This pretty vine growing in my backyard. Hummingbirds love it!
Old pioneer houses converted into historic monuments. This house was in the family for generations. I remember visiting my aunt here many, many moons ago.
This house has always captured my fancy. It has been converted to a flower shop.
Inside is breathtaking.
The original owner even made his own bricks to build it.
Early morning trips up the canyon to Bridal Veil…
And sharing it with friends…this is my new friend from France, Florence.
Cheering for a game half a world away and still being able to watch…Go Portugal! (sorry Florence and Ms. Bee)
Day 10: Create a fancy dinner…don’t forget dessert!
Tonight’s dinner menu was Spaghetti with Creamy Tomato Basil Red Sauce, Garlic Bread, Green Salad with toasted sunflower seeds and Asiago Frico. For dessert we had ice cream sundaes…the kids had a heyday with the toppings. And then we had to peel them off the ceiling and pry them from the walls they were climbing because they hadn’t had that much sugar in a very long time!
Lousy picture but it sure tasted good!
