It Wasn’t ‘All Work and No Play’

As reported in the previous post, my mother and I found ourselves in Florida for some family matters.  Realizing we could both use a break from the intensity of what we were facing AND since we were only a couple of hours from Neverland, I begged her to let me take her there.

Mom and Dad live overseas so during the years we lived there, they were never able to see it.  We needed a road trip.

I took her to my very favorite local shop and then the beach.  It was therapy.

My Sweet Friend, Annette, remembered me!

Hobbes’ first dip

Sometimes I get a little over exuberant.  It’s a bit embarrassing when it looks like I’m about to eat my baby’s face.

Isn’t my mother LOVELY?!  She always says she feels most whole near the ocean.  I suspect that’s because she’s part mermaid.

About T.D.

Hi there! Thanks for stopping by my corner of the blogosphere. I hope you like it here. This blog is where I ramble about the hats I wear (wife, mother, author, educator, etc) and everything in between. A wise man once said 'Happiness is a habit; cultivate it'. Here on this blog, I intend to do just that.
