Friday Favorites: Caribbean Dream…

There is a GREAT book out there.  Many of you have read it.  After being encouraged to read it myself for many years, I finally did.  It’s called ‘The 5 Love Languages’.   Essentially, each one of us has one or two of five basic ways we express love FOR others as well as how we feel love FROM others.  Understanding these ‘languages’ of sorts can allow us to understand those around us and relate to them better.

It has really helped me to see my own family in a clearer light.  It has also helped me to understand myself better.  Case in point:  The love language I speak is gift giving.  I LOVE to give the people I adore gifts…especially gifts that come from my heart.  It makes me feel connected to them.

This probably explains why I enjoy blog candy so much…which is why I have come up with a new monthly blog draw!

On the Fridays I post, I will be ‘show-n-telling’ a ‘favorite’ from the past week.  It probably won’t be anything worth more than a couple of dollars…but it will definitely be something I am eager to share.  At the end of each month, I throw my Friday Favorites from the month into a package and send them off to a lucky blogging buddy.

Just leave a comment in my comment box or Facebook page to let me know you’re there.

This week’s Friday Favorite:

Caribbean Dream

If the Caribbean had a flavor, I’m convinced it would taste like this.

Who wants one?

Now it’s your turn!  What is your favorite thing of the week?

About T.D.

Hi there! Thanks for stopping by my corner of the blogosphere. I hope you like it here. This blog is where I ramble about the hats I wear (wife, mother, author, educator, etc) and everything in between. A wise man once said 'Happiness is a habit; cultivate it'. Here on this blog, I intend to do just that.
