31 Days Where YOU Are: Days 22 and 23–Late But Hopefully Worth a Wait

So, I have mentioned before, my family and I live very far away from each other. In some cases, oceans separate us. I miss them very much. Because of this distance, we jump at the chance to spend time together. This was the case during the last couple of days when ‘The Flash’ and I met up in San Francisco. It was great to see him AND not only did we get to hang out, I was also able to finish my task for my goal this October. During the last few days I haven’t had as much access to the internet and the time change has messed with my endurance so my posts are a little late…

Day 22: Pick an item from your bucket list. Cross it off by DOING IT. Don’t have a bucket list? Make one TODAY!

Bucket List Item: Run the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco.

I have always been fascinated by the Golden Gate Bridge. For a long time, however, there was a lot of fear tied to that emotion. Daddio loves James Bond movies so when Roger Moore starred in ‘A View To a Kill”, he naturally tuned in and even bought the VCR tape.

Imagine my terror watching Christopher Walken pluck someone off as he pushed a guy from a Blimp hovering over Golden Gate. It was enough to give me an aversion to bridges, blimps and Christopher Walken for years.

Obviously, I conquered my fear. (Check out the video on facebook here.

As for Day 23: Finish a project you’ve put on the back burner.

I’ve been trying to finish this project for almost 2 years! For anyone familiar with the Mug, you’ll be happy to know, I finally unloaded it! If you don’t know the story, check it out here.

Last Saturday after The Flash went to work, I had some time on my hands…just enough to pull off a serious upset and knock the master off his throne, which I am now sitting upon. Enlisting the help of two very nice Hilton staffers…

Wait until AFTER I am safe at home, on the OTHER side of the country. Have said Mug delivered to his room…

Then wait patiently for the BAAAAAM!

Yep. Victory is SWEET!

About T.D.

Hi there! Thanks for stopping by my corner of the blogosphere. I hope you like it here. This blog is where I ramble about the hats I wear (wife, mother, author, educator, etc) and everything in between. A wise man once said 'Happiness is a habit; cultivate it'. Here on this blog, I intend to do just that.
