31 Days Where YOU Are: Day 20…Another Long Explore…

Day 20: Look up the history of where you are. Find a spot you are curious about and go there. Take a picture.

Today ‘The Flash’ had to work most of the day so during the late morning I was left to my own devices. But in the early morning hours, he and I went here:

The Beautiful LDS Oakland Temple

Then, he headed off to his appointments and I stayed behind.

A fuzzy white robe, a bottle of red nail polish, an 80s movie and 6 fluffy pillows…Awwww!

I have always wanted to go to a fancy shmancy hotel with a fuzzy white robe in my room.

After my movie date with myself, I headed out to Fisherman’s Wharf to see what I could find…I just wished this picture was a scratch and sniff, or maybe a lick and taste would be better… A little bit of history: Ghirardelli Square was named after Domingo Ghirardelli for the headquarters of his famous chocolate. It was established in 1893.

After tasting what may very well be the yummiest chocolate ever (Pumpkin Spice Caramel Chocolate), I headed out for more uncharted territory and quickly fell in love…

The Bay

Since I tend to be a Rhinoceros at a tea party, the first question I asked myself was, “Do I dare?”

This Lladro cost $6,600.00 but it is so beautiful! (He-Man, I promise not to even ask!)

And for extra good measure, I explored the little maritime museum about the history of the Bay…

So much to see, so little time!!

About T.D.

Hi there! Thanks for stopping by my corner of the blogosphere. I hope you like it here. This blog is where I ramble about the hats I wear (wife, mother, author, educator, etc) and everything in between. A wise man once said 'Happiness is a habit; cultivate it'. Here on this blog, I intend to do just that.
